Splendid area home to magnificent natural beauty and long-standing culture.
The delicately chiselled Dentelles de Montmirail as seen from Mont Ventoux, Roman and Romanesque monuments, vineyards and olive groves, grown here since Roman times.
And Bacchus, who pervades the area, inviting us to wine and dine, and discover the markets, eternal forums for meeting and exchange …
BETWEEN VENTOUX AND THE DENTELLES

VINEYARDS AND LANDSCAPES

The best place to take in this northern-most, mountainous part of the Côtes du Ventoux area is from the top of the village of Le Crestet. Here, you are in the “montagnes paysannes” beloved of author Jean Giono. Small-scale fields create a patchwork of crops – vineyards, olive trees, cherry trees, apricot. Natural growth occupies much of the space – oak trees on the peaks, broom and pine on the slopes, formerly cultivated in terraces. The majestic linden trees planted in lines, often on the roadsides, were also farmed in the past.
