To the south, Mont Ventoux tapers to an end along the slopes of the Monts de Vaucluse and the Roussillon hills.
From Gordes to the Provencal Colorado, plant and mineral life compose an uninterrupted symphony where grapevines add high notes of colour, of which wine is the reflection.

TERROIR

Colourful lands, the ochre sands and sandstone from the Cretaceous era mark the countryside around Roussillon, the heart of the southern part of the Côtes du Ventoux appellation.
The valleys in the ochre-bearing hills are coated with sandy-rocky silt, with good vine-growing potential.
However, these quaternary formations are sparse, and are the consequence of the existence of «confetti-type» vineyards, planted sporadically alongside the cherry trees, highly present due to the candied fruit industry in the area.

GRAPE VARIETY

The White Wines in the appellation are made from the grape varieties of Clairette, Grenache blanc, Bourboulenc, Roussane and Ugni blanc. The dominant varietal is Clairette, which provides freshness, finesse and floral notes. Clairette adds to the good balance of the vines offered by the regional winemakers.

TASTING

Wine tasting is an art, and the sensations we perceive nourish our Imagination.

Tasting is an interesting, stimulating time and a time for friendship and exchange.
Aromatic, delicate, fruity, generous, round, hearty, structured, silky … the descriptions are varied.
Understanding the taste of a wine means associating knowledge of the soils, varietals and techniques going into its making, and as such is an enriching experience.
In-depth knowledge enhances the pleasure of tasting and appreciating the wine.
«Initiating wine-drinkers to tasting wines» helps the consumer make the right choices !
